Oxted Christmas Festival - Saturday 2nd December

10am - 4pm

Oxted town centre has the festive season all wrapped up this year with its Christmas Festival on Saturday 2nd December. With scores of food and drink producers, craft and gift stalls, and winter-warming street food, the event is guaranteed to set the Christmas spirit soaring.

FATHER CHRISTMAS

There will be something for all the family, with Father Christmas arriving on his land train at 10am at his Tandridge Leisure Centre grotto. The train will be running throughout the festival, so visitors can climb aboard to ride around the town and perhaps call in to meet Santa in his grotto.

LOCAL FOOD MARKET

Food lovers will find inspiring ideas for seasonal entertaining with locally-produced cheeses, free range meat, spicy chutneys, artisan bread and pastries, and much more, including delicious homemade goodies from the town’s very own Oxted Country Market. And there will be no shortage of ideas for festive tipples with the chance to sample and buy from Silent Pool Gin, Westerham-based Squerryes Winery, and Surrey-based Greyfriars vineyard, to name a few.

ARTS, CRAFTS AND GIFTS

As well as thousands of gifts available from Oxted’s shops, there will be even more choice thanks to the one-day-only arts, crafts and gift stalls, provided by talented local artists and crafters, which will form part of the festival.

TASTY STREET FOOD

Festive refreshment will be on offer too, with the festival’s mouth-watering menu of hot mulled wine and cider, hog roast and ready-to-eat spicy foods available throughout the day.

FESTIVE MUSIC

The soundtrack for the day will be provided by various local musicians and local choirs.

11am - One Eyed Jack

Midday - Oxted School Choir

12.30pm - In Choir

1pm - Limpsfield School Choir

1.45pm - Sarah Newbury & Jeffery Rae

SHOP LOCAL

Oxted shops and businesses will be opening their doors to provide a warm welcome to visitors, and the chance to tick lots off the Christmas list, with a huge variety from fashion and beauty to homewares and a whole lot more besides.

The Christmas Festival has been organised by Love Oxted, the group of around 200 businesses that have come together to make the town centre a better place to shop, work and spend time. Stall holders will line the streets of both Station Road East and Station Road West, plus the station forecourt and in true festive spirit, there will be free parking on the day at the car parks at Ellice Road, Johnsdale Road and Tandridge District Council.
