Here to Help Customer Service Awards

VOTING HAS NOW CLOSED - THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT. THE JUDGES WILL MEET IN SEPTEMBER AND WINNERS ANNOUNCED MID-OCTOBER. PLEASE FOLLOW US ON TWITTER OR FACEBOOK TO BE KEPT UP TO DATE.

Love Oxted has announced its first ever 'Here to Help' awards which will celebrate excellent customer service and recognise those who have given that personal touch.

Whether it is a café or an accountancy firm, shop or solicitors, the community will have the chance to vote for the businesses that have served them the best. And there will also be the ultimate accolade – the Above & Beyond award, recognising an individual who has gone beyond the call of duty to serve customers or clients.

“Love Oxted businesses work so hard to ensure they serve their customers well so we are delighted to launch awards to recognise this fact,” says chairman of Love Oxted, Mark Symonds. “These are inclusive awards which means that all businesses will be considered for their customer service, whether they are a funeral service, small shopkeeper or a high street chain. For the first time ever, the community of Oxted will have a chance to tell us their stories of truly excellent service.”

Voting will be online until August 4. However, postal votes can be made into the special Love Oxted box situated in the town's library until Friday, July 14 only.

Please see voting terms and conditions.

Entries will be judged by an independent panel in September and winners will be announced at an event in October.

The judges have the exciting challenge of reviewing all the amazing stories of exceptional customer service from the town’s businesses.

The expert panel will include Rosemary French OBE, executive director of Gatwick Diamond Initiative; Paul Thompson, director of retail at the British Red Cross National Retail Centre; Rev Andrew Rumsey, rector at St Mary’s Church in Oxted; and a representative from the head girl/boy team of Oxted County School.

“We are delighted to have such an impressive line-up of judges for our first ever Here to Help awards,” says chairman of Love Oxted, Mark Symons. “Outstanding customer service from our Oxted businesses deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated, and I look forward to these awards with great anticipation.”
